Impurity and Sin

Beating for drunkeness -- Volume 3, Book 38, Number 509:

Narrated 'Uqba bin Al-Harith: When An-Nuaman or his son was brought in a state of drunkenness, Allah's Apostle ordered all those who were present in the house to beat him. I was one of those who beat him. We beat him with shoes and palm-leaf stalks.


Fazlul Maulana--  Al Hadis, Vol 3, p. 131, Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah said, "Verily, Allah pardoned my followers for what their thoughts prompt towards evil so long as they do not do it or utter it." Agreed

Koran, Sura 2:284, "To Allah belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth. Whether ye show what is in your minds or conceal it, Allah calleth you to account for it...."

Fazlul Maulana--  Al Hadis, Book 1, page 127, Hadith 13, (Abu Omamah reporting), "The believer may have defects, the whole of them (meaning he can sin every sin there is), except breach of trust and falsehood." Attested by Ahmad, Baihaqi Fram Sa`ad-b-Abi Waqqas.

Fazlul Maulana--  Al Hadis, Book 1, page 110, Hadith 32, Abu Hurairah reporting, "When a servant of Allah commits fornication, faith goes out of him. It hovers over his head as a shade. When he leaves the act of fornication, faith returns to him. Attested by Tirmizi and Abu Daud.
